5-sided shed roof framing
#1
Hello everyone! I am planning on building a 5-sided garden shed with a partial gable over the door. I need to know, in part, how to frame it, but am primarily wondering where to position the spot where the common rafters meet. The shed is 8X8 feet and the short sides are 4 feet long. I hope you can visualize that... A sample picture of the shed can be found at http://www.summerwood.com . Thank you for any input or suggestions you might have.

You would have to pick the hardest one to build. This is very hard. Especially if you do not want a center post.
This is called a falcrom roof. It is built in sections, and mounted with special hanger frames at the center. It would take a book here to tell you, but you might take a look at gazebo's at your garden shop. They are built the same way.
