I am looking for a contact (web or distributor) for steel shingle roofing for a do-it-yourselfer. I have been able to get installed cost but no one seems to be able to give me the cost of a square of metal shingles (1 Box). I have a 3200 square foot roof and am trying to figure the best way to re-roof it. I think steel would be the best at this point but I can't find the prices. Can anyone out there help me?

Metal shingles are not a DIY project. The distributors only sell to licensed contractors that are properly trained to install it. That's why you are running into the block wall.

Thanks Lefty for your response. Why isn't it Do-it-yourself project. It seems pretty easy to do. Is it a warranty issue?

There are many issues here. Warranty is just one of them.
They have to be installed just perfect. If one comes off in a 70mph wind, it is like a bullet going through the air.
It will go through lots of things. Call your roofer.

Unknown water leak

Hello! Each it rains (hard, not a light drizzle), I notice that the wood baseboard trim in our downstairs bedroom is damp and the paint is blistering near base of the wall. The wall where this trim is located is an exterior wall. Also, the adjacent bathroom (which shares this same exterior wall) develops a pool of water after the same heavy rain. The exterior of the house is stucco (Is stucco porous?) and the previous owner had a cement walkway poured (several years ago) on the same side where the water is seeping in. I suspect the water is entering in one or more of these ways: 1. The water barrier/tar paper behind the stucco is allowing water to enter, soaking the wood trim and drywall. 2. The cement walkway is higher than the foundation, allowing enough water to flow toward the house, causing the water damage. 3. The point where the stucco wall meets the cement walkway is not sealed/caulked, allowing water that runs down the wall to enter the house rather being diverted away.
