I'm planning to 1) change the roof shingles and 2) change all the fascias and the soffits in two operations.

1. Is it a good idea ?
2. If it is yes : what is the best sequence ?

You need to explain in more detail what you will be doing with the facia and soffit. it could very well affect what you need to do with the roof.
