Moble Home roof leak

I have a leak in my hallway and see staining on the drop ceiling like materiel that the ceiling is made out of. Providing its nothing major(we just had a major rain storm and caused flooding all over metro detroit) Is there a DIY coating I can put on the roof to repair it? I also notice water dripping from the bathroom vent fan when it rains hard.

Being in the hallway could indicate leakage around vent pipes or exhaust units. Is it near the heater, water heater, or bathroom? Marksr will be along in 5 minutes with better information.

You'll have a better idea as to what needs to be done after you get up on the roof to inspect it. MH roofs aren't usually very stable so it's best to plant your feet every 16" on top of the 'truss' Look for cracks around any of the vents and along any seams.

The fix could be as simple as a little silicone caulk or roofing tar. Sometimes it's beneficial to embed a piece of roofing felt in the tar.

Once the leaks are fixed you may want to apply a coat of fibered aluminum roof paint [koolseal] to the whole roof. I would not rely on the paint to fix the leaks!

The leak is around the In wall furnace and bathroom. The stuff the ceiling is made out of has the water stains on it and was dripping. This is the first time it leaked in this area. I will have to buy a ladder as the one I had was stolen.

Maybe you can borrow a ladder, they can also be rented. It will need to be repaired from the topside.
It sure sounds like the leak is around a vent. Once the leak is fixed you can coat the stains on the ceiling with a solvent based primer and then repaint the cellotex with latex. The stains will bleed thru latex primer.

If you buy a new ladder you might consider a lock and chain to secure it to something.
