Should I get on the roof today?

As the photo shows, I have a little problem on my roof.
It's supposed to rain tonight so any thoughts on whether
I should try and nail this down or should I wait for the roofing guy?

Welcome to the forums! Your profile is incomplete so we don't know where you are located. From the room addition, its roof pitch, and the air conditioner, I'd say Florida or south Texas. How cold is it? If you are talking about the ridge vent pieces, yes, you should see to it that they are nailed down properly before the rain. Pitch on the roof is slight enough where there won't be much danger of falling, I hope.

As long as you can be up there safely, this should be mitigated.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I was kinda in a hurry to get an answer so didn't spend
too much time on the profile (will update); I live in Pittsburgh (go Steelers!), PA.
It's not been too cold and I just noticed this a couple o' days ago but wanted to get this fixed
to avoid water damage.

Well, we haven't had any snow yet, but in years past it handled a heavy 12 inch accumulation without problem.
