Waterproof My chimney and crawl space
I have a problem where water seems to be running down my chimney and ruining my paint job. It is also some how getting through my foundation and it is pooling in my crawl space.
How do I stop the water?

Welcome to the forums! Nice picture of the chimney and a porch. From what I can gather in the photos you have a flashing problem where the porch roof meets the chimney. Better pictures of that area would help. Water seems to have defeated whatever flashing there was in that joint allowing water to stream down to the porch and eventually passing through the seams and down to the basement. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

Thanks. I can get on the roof when it stops raining. There also appears to be a small trickle of water on the inside of the house near the chimney. I'll take pictures of that later too.

I moved the duplicate posted pictures to an archive place since they weren't necessary. Is this a built up roof? I can't distinguish between the metal flashing and the roofing material. What is the roofing material? I can see where an abundance of water is entering. The flashing just over the porch is pulled away and lost its seal against the chimney. You can witness the water stain just below it. Certainly that needs repairing.

I cannot upload Photos using the conventional methods. I have tried, and I am fairly good with computers. Your file up-loader simply says that the file upload has failed. This is beyond frustrating. I have probably spent 2 hours total over the course of 4 attempts.
This link will take you to look at the photos.

I am a little overwhelmed right now because the roofer that I just contacted gave me a quote of $1,650, and that would just stop the leak.

Your picture files are too big. Try limiting them to about 1080x640, or something like that. I have it happen occasionally when I try to upload from my phone.
What is this roofer going to do? I've viewed your pictures, and thus my questions on post #5
