Hi, Had damp under my laminate flooring coming through the old vinyl tiles (see photos). I have a 1950s bungalow with no DPM and on a hill with possibly high water table. Took the tiles up and painted a bitumen based liquid DPM (not the 2 part epoxy types that most other posts are about) on top of the left over bitumen adhesive. Still have moisture coming through (I think) and small holes appearing in places, and after further reading, 50mm of concrete is required to 'hold it down' and stop penetration from hydrostatic pressure. However, I cant raise the floor by that much so wondering where to go from here as not much sticks to this stuff? I've read about sbr/cement slurry and thinking that should stick and may be worth a shot to strengthen it and add to the water proofing?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil

Can anyone tell me if it is difficult to apply a silicon elastometric coating on a flat roof. someone was telling me that he used to do it but could never get it even and woould roll off spots. My flat roof does pond in the center a bit but is visibly pretty flat. I am still trying to resolve the question of relplacing my roof (around $1800) my 30 year old PVC roof with EPDM (around $1800 with a single piece of rubber) or patching the roof and coating it with the silicon coating (about $1000). If it is difficult to coat, maybe I should just go for the new roof.
