Yes, but it can be a bit more difficult depending on what and where you're trying to install.

It's going to be over about a 7' wide front door opening, some video would be helpful.

Not so sure your going to find a video to do such a simple job.
Does your roof have Storm and Ice Shield under the shingles on that lower part of the roof?
Reason I ask is in your area adding the diverter could possibly cause ice dams.
I make my own using aluminum painted coil stock that comes black on one side and white on the other.
I cut a piece 2' wider then the door opening and 8-1/2" wide, I hem over (bend over on it's self) 1/2"
at the top to give it strength, measure down 2" and bend again 90 deg. making sure the black part is what you see from the ground.
Now you use a flat bar to work the shingles loose, do it while it's hot out, wear gloves.
Slide the piece in under the shingles one end at a time.
It only needs a very slight angle, the nails need to go under the shingles, no sealer needed.

That method works fine if you have 3 tab shingles, I have architectural and it doesn't work that way,I was looking to have a "V" shaped deverter.

It will work that way on any type of asphalt shingles, I've done it many times.
What different's does it make, it would install the same way on both type shingles.
Never seen a "Vee shaped diverter.
I can picture the water running down the roof and running right over it if it was in a vee shape.
