1950's Duraglas Bottle - Chemical or harmless?

Trash was dumped in our woods, which included rotted asphalt shingles and some gallon glass bottles. I bottle still has liquid in it, and just wanted to throw it out, but b/c I found it with the shingles, I'm afraid it might be a chemical that I need to bring to our chemical drop off. Internet says these Duraglas bottles went out of use around 1950. Liquid color is kind of cloudy tea colored, and kind of smells like turpentine. The other bottle was empty, but had a leaf pattern on it.

Does anyone know if they used to sell home improvement chemicals in clear glass Duraglas gallon bottles?

That's going to be a pretty tough question to answer.
Who knows what's in the +65 year old bottle.
Most likely not what came in it originally.
