Roof drain bowl leaking at the seam

Hello all,
Am looking for advice to fix a leak between my roof drain and the bowl. Specifically, the leak is at a location I had not seen yet, it is below the roof at the seam between the roof and the bowl itself (between the shiny steel on the pic and the cast iron bowl). The drain is about 30 years old, in New England, so no surprise with snow that it requires some maintenance...
Removing the bowl entirely is very heavy work, the screws are far from the drain, the roof membrane would need to be removed, not sure I want to go in that direction.
Anything reasonably reliable and durable I can do from above the roof or from under without removing the bowl? Some kind of sealant/caulking?
Thanks a lot!

Can you provide an outside picture of the bowl?

Yes, here it is. I removed the grate to take the pic. Not much to see, only a hole in the membrane letting water into the drain bowl.
