My framer made a small parapet wall between the low-pitch roof on the back of the house (gable side) and the lean-to garage to install new garage rafters higher on the house. The new wall has T-111 siding. What options do I have for a parapet wall cap? I don't really like the look of a flat sheet metal cap. Is it possible to cut small wood triangles or make a ridge for the top of the wall and use asphalt roof ridge on top of it? Ideas?

[left](I'm not sure if this post belongs in "waterproofing" or "siding" thread, so I apologize if it's in the wrong spot.) Long story, but I'm on my second contractor with my siding project. The contractor started the other day and started right away on the soffits. Problem is, there are areas of the house where the house wrap hasn't been put on yet. My concern is that if the soffits are done before the house wrap, It can't run all the way to the top of the wall. I wanted the house wrap to run up and be tucked BEHIND the soffits. The contractor is trying to say this isn't a problem, but to be it seems like an easy way for water to run off the soffits and down behind the house wrap. Can you guys please give me your opinion on this? My last house had $28k of water damage done due to poor window installation (that wasn't covered by insurance). So I'm extremely uptight about moisture issues and want to make sure NOTHING is left to chance.[/left]
