Porch Roof Leaking
Hi All-
I'm trying to figure out the best way to stop a leak I noticed in our porch roof. After some investigating, I found there's about a 1" gap beneath the window frame above the porch roof (see photos), which is about 6 feet wide. During heavy driving rains, water is getting inside the porch roof structure through this 1" gap and leaking along the rafters.
What is the best way to fill this gap? Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forums.
I'm not the pro so I can't help you with the repair but that is a problem.
I see house wrap but can't tell if the required flashing is present.

I agree. It appears there is no flashing at the top of the roof where it meets the vertical wall. It's not a huge repair but it will require removing the top couple rows of shingles and some of the siding, then install flashing and re-install the siding and shingles.
Since this is a pretty glaring omission (screw-up) I would give other areas around the home a good inspection. I would pay attention to chimneys, windows, doors, changes in roof line or where your roof meets a vertical surface.
