Leaks under 9 year old roof
I have a white gravel (on top of tar) roof. Very slight pitch. We had some really heavy rains last week. I was kind of shocked to see that I had a couple of small leaks after only 9 years. If I were to re-tar a 12 foot by 9 foot area up to the ridge of the roof, that would seem to fix wherever the leak is originating. So my question is whether it's doable for me to use some Henry's roofing tar for this job? I would sweep away the rocks, then apply the tar.
Also what product would I need and how much?
Would a 5 gallon bucket of this "Plastic Roof Coating Cement" with a mop do the job? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Henry-4-...4571/100078637
Or would Henry 201 Fibered Black Asphalt roof coating be the product that I need?
Do I need to add any sort of primer before applying the above tar?
