Exterior Gutter Cleaning

Hi All,

Forgive me, as I'm not sure this will be in the right forum. I started cleaning the exterior of my gutters using a telescoping pole that I had laying around from a light bulb changer kit (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commerci...LB12/100354521)

I took my car wash brush and attached it to the end, and it was doing great. Problem was, I dropped the pole on accident and broke the male threaded end that attaches to the brush. I've heard these are called Acme Threads? I'm not really sure, but I need to know the terminology for the piece I need to have replaced. I'd rather not go spend $20 again just because I broke that part. I'm sure there is a replacement male threaded cap I could find somewhere online?

Attached a pic of what I need.........maybe someone has replaced this before.....

This should get you started.

Finding one that fits your pole exactly may be a problem.

Personally, I'd suggest that you might just go buy a cheap push broom handle, since the thread is the same.

I saw those as well on Amazon. Good call! This pole is 3/4" diameter so I think it will work. Worst case, I'll just buy a new pole on Amazon. I've seen them for around $43 which gets you about 20ft.

Now the trick is trying to save that car wash brush with the broken thread inside. I tried epoxing a bolt head to the inside. Will find out tonight if its strong enough to withstand the torquing force .
