Waterproofing Basement with Raised Footer
Hey,
I was wondering about waterproofing my basement with a raised footer. Recently bought house, built in early 1900's in Maine with gutters moving water away from house, but the basement is below the water table. Most of the water comes through cracks in the center of the basement and we currently have a sump that operates 9 months of the year. I'm hoping to install an interior drain system around the perimeter into the existing sump (probably making it larger), but I'm worried about potentially damaging the block foundation since there is a raised footer. I've been reading about solutions for about a year, but can't seem to decide on the best approach. These photos are pretty tame flooding during a drier part of the year. Any thoughts and suggestions would be a huge help! Thanks

Unique situation, couple questions:
In first picture is that a sump pump and pit that looks to be overflowing?
You state leaks in the center but mention perimeter drain system, please explain?
Is the water coming in through the door?

Thanks for the quick response.
1) That is the sump pump. It came like this, but I'm planning on making it deeper/wider. It's not overflowing.
2) There are a handful of perimeter leaks, but also ground water coming up through cracks in the floor. I figured an interior perimeter drain would alleviate the pressure and water would move to the drain first after sealing all the cracks.
3) The water is not coming through the door, it's just pooling in a low spot near the door.

Ideally, I'd install an interior drain next to/ what appears to be under the footer along the perimeter, but worry about damaging the integrity of the foundation. If anyone has experience with raised footers like this, I'd love any advice.
