PDM for curved screened porch
I am planning to build a curved screened porch roof with slope that varies from almost flat to 1:1. To make sure that the low slope areas don't leak, I am planning to use EPDM membrane bonded to the 3/8" plywood supported by rafters at 15". Do you see any problem installing the EPMD with significant slopes?
On one side, the curved roof will form a valley with an old existing roof with shingles and a 4:12 slope. I plan to replace the existing shingles with new ones. At the valley, the EPDM would overlap under the shingles, say 18 or 24 inches. Do you think this will work? I am assuming that the singles will have to be nailed through the EPDM with mastic at the nails. Does anyone has other ideas to do this?
