Question

If I know the roof pitch(6/12 roof) and the roof length, what is the formular to calculator the rafter length?

go to the basics. a right angled triangle.
the length of the hypotenuse (rafter) squared = length of the base (half the ceiling span) squared + length of the height squared.

or buy a swanson speed square,comes with a very helpful book giving lenghts angles etc.much easier i think
