How do you figure out what the uplift is?

We need to tell what the uplift of the trusses are before we can get a permit to put a roof over our patio.

Please respond to Hwm6808@cs.com

hmix, not sure if i'm right on what your looking for, but i think you might be referring to the pitch of your roof. the pitch is the number of inches your roof rises from the bottom center of the truss to the peak per running foot of your rafters. ie. for every foot that your rafter runs it may rise 4 inches(this is just an example)at the center. this would make it a 4/12 pitch. hope this helps.
