Question

I've been told that, unlike with tabbed shingles, you don't have to worry about vertical alignment with irregular dimensional (architectural) asphalt shingles. Does this mean that you can start each course evenly at the rake, without having to stagger the courses as with tabbed shingles, and without having to cut them off evenly later?
