I live in south Louisiana in an 1100ft2 A-frame home with 2 gable vents, numerous soffit vents and 2 turbines but my attic still feels like a furnace. Would I benefit by installing a ridge vent?

How many soffit vents are required for proper ventilation?

Also, one of my turbines does not rotate- what can I do to
fix and is this a possible leaking problem?

Please advise.

Easy question. One square foot of ventilation for every three hundred square foot of ceiling (heated). Each square foot of ventilation shall be divided equally entrance air, usually at the soffit, and exhaust air as close to the ridge as possible. Also make sure that nobody over the years stuffed insullation where the rafters meet the knee wall, if there is one.
