I recently had my soffits, fascia and gutters done. It was all aluminum. I am trying to determine if it was a quality job. The aluminum only covers about half of the fascia board, but flashing was put in under the roof and it seems that no water should be running down the fascia boards. I was wondering if this was normal or if it was a way to cut cost on the part of the contractor.

Thumbs down

the fascia should run up under the drip edge about a 1/2 inch.iknow exactly what they were thinking when they did it was we are gonna put gutters on so no water will get there anyway and we can get 3-4 pieces of fascia out of 1 roll insted of maybe 3.hate to say it but no it is not a top quality job
