wall removel prob.

I need to know if a truss 24' long needs any suport if a wall is removed. The wall is made out of 2"x2" 's. the wall runs opposite of the trusses.Would like to remove about 12'of the wall.This house was made by national homes about 30 years ago.These homes are what some people call prefab.Thanks for any info. raceindy24@aol.com

You might try contacting National Homes or your local Building Inspection Department, a licensed contractor or an engineer.

Might be a load-bearing wall, and if it is, you will need a header over the opening.
