Roof Coatings or a low hip roof

In addition to shingle roofing the upper level of my home, the lower level has a metal roof and needs recoating. Does anyone have any experience with various coatings? Have read that the acrylic liquid coatings are best and gives the longest service, as well as, providing reflective surface for preventing roof heat up. I have trees with limbs overhanging this roof, and need a product
that can with stand falling limbs, walking on to clean gutters, etc.

i have found the best result with metal roofing is an oil based paint found at a farm bureau or FS farm services. whatever you do , dont skimp on the price , usually runs about 120 for 5 gallons, also if the roof is chalking , you might want to clean or pressure wash the roof using one part bleach to 4 parts water and throw in some tsp, trisodium phosphate
half the job is getting it ready, good luck
