roofing repair

I have a bad ice dam problem on one side of my house. This spring i plan on redoing that side of the roof(it leaks badly). I plan on reinsulating every where,replacing all rotted wood etc. My problem is the roof end at the outside wall how can I properly vent to help the damning proplem

This type of roof does present some obvious problems. In order to get a 50/50 balance of intake and exhaust ventilation you have to provide intake at your facia area. One such product is made by CertainTeed its called the drip edge vent by Airvent. You can see this product at www.airvent.com. I hope this helps you
