Moss growing on roof

I just climbed up on my roof to sweep the leaves off and noticed that there is moss growing in the cracks where the shingles overlap. Any suggestions on how toget rid of the moss?

Thanks in advance.

almost any weed killer will work to kill the moss, but moss growing on a roof is usually because the places where its growing are damp, and not getting enough sun to dry them out my suggestion is, kill, then scrape off the moss and look to see if you can trim any overhanging branches to let in the sun then the roof will be dry enough so moss shouldn't grow. good luck

Contact a local roofing contractor and ask about zinc strips added at your ridge area. When it rains it will activate the zinc and stop all moss and algae growth. Take a drive in your neighborhood and look at other roofs that have this problem and notice below every soil stack flashing or other galvinized area that the roof looks like new.
