Flat Roof

I was told to use SIS rooled roofing on my nearly flat roof. The only rooled roofing I can find at Lowes or Home Depot has only 2 inches of seam area on both edges instead of the 9 inches of seam area both edges. Roofrat told me to use the SIS because I do not want to nail just glue. Anyone know were I might get SIS in the Seattle area?

Did you try a local lumber company or roofing supply store? Just to make this clear SIS has to also be nailed sorry for the confusion. SIS has 1/2 mineral surfaced granules and 1/2 without for the purpose of applying cold adhesive.

I understood it had to be nailed at the top edge that is covered by the next roll. Is that correct. I need to look at the neighbors roof. I am sure there are no nails showing.

Yes it does have to be nailed at the top edge and it also can be nailed in the field where the adhesive is applicated. Also it ahould be nailed at the edges of the roof. Be careful not to get fish mouths when installing this material.
