Question carpet cleaning

Our fish aquarium leaked all over our carpet. It is beginning to have a moldy smell. Any suggestions on how to remove the smell? The carpet does not appeared to be stained.
We are thinking about resoaking the carpet with diluted Lysol and water. Letting it soak to hopefully kill the mold and mildew, then vacuum the solution up with our Rainbow Vacuum cleaner and putting fans to the carpet to help it dry.

If you use any water in the cleaning process, use as little as possible to get it clean.DO NOT OVER SATURATE! Clean and repeat as necessary.too much water will cause the backing of the carpet to break down and delaminate.I would suggest a professional carpet cleaner.
You may also need to have the wet area of the carpet padding replaced if it is still wet.
By the way I hope your fish are ok,I know what it's like to have a tank go bad.
