It must have been more then a glass of water!!!!

Basements are usually below grade. Moisture coming through the concrete floor and walls is a major concern, no matter how dry it "looks"

Musty smell means mold & mildew is growning, that takes more then a few days to happen!!!

Thanks, I was being nice....my bone-head boyfriend let the portable airconditioner over flow pretty bad....and did a quick clean up and I didn't check it. So it was about 2 weeks before I walked far enough in that room to notice...IT WAS STILL WET....So cranked up Dehumidifier and put big fan in room...and it started to smell musty.....it is wall to wall AREA rug....so I guess I won't feel to bad if I can't save it....

Any suggestions on beating the moldy critters? thanks, T

Moving air, UV light and chlorine. Mold won't live with those present.
