Question Needing advice

I am needing advice about what type of carpet to use. I have ideas on what I want, or at least what I think I want. I am wanting to carpet my stairway. It has a small landing half way up and makes a 90 degree turn. What I am looking for is something that will feel good under foot first thing in the morning and hold up to a LOT of traffic. I am open to any and all ideas.

Wool is your best option if you can afford it. I have seen steps last 20 years plus, and still look like the day they were installed. No other fiber can do that.
Ahigh quality branded nylon frieze is your second best bet, or a Nylon Berber if you have no dogs in the home. (big dogs)
