press marks from carpeting

Moisten a tea towel and wring dry. (Fold in half if very thin cloth). Use a low-medium temperature setting on an dry iron (can use medium-hot iron if at first u don't succeed). Place moisten cloth over press mark and put iron on top and press down with medium pressure for perhaps 10-15 seconds (careful not to burn carpet). Pull iron and tea towel off, and using fingers pull carpet fibres up to level with rest of carpeting. Repeat this entire process until you have results that you are satisfied with. ENSURE that your towel is still moist!
It will not get the carpet press totally out but it is as close as one can get.

suggestion from Millicent

Thank you for your idea to fix my carpeting. What is a tea towel? Where can I purchase one? Can I use any small hand towel instead of a tea towel? Thanks for your reply.

You can use any white towel. Also as Daniel replied a clothes steamer will do to .
