Arrow carpet is coming loose at a doorway

At my bathroom door, the carpet is detaching and threads are shedding. I can't figure out how the carpet was attached in the first place. There is a pad that appears to be in good shape and I don't see carpet loosening anywhere else. Can anyone tell me how to reattach this? Do I use Nails? Glue? Some kind of doorstrip? I have no idea.

Carpet gripper should be used in this area, the carpet is stretched onto it, then the metal folds over the carpet to help keep it from shredding.

I agree that a transition metal needs to be used.

They may have just tacked it at the doorway.

The fraying is what needs to be stretched back out and cut off.
