Vinyl & Carpet seams meet??

I am ready to lay vinyl in a bathroom and it will meet up with carpet in the hallway. How far into the doorway do i bring the vinyl?

I was planning to make the seam in the middle of the door itself so it wouldn't be seen from either room when the door is shut...Is that right? Or is there some rule of thumb as to where to make the seam?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rick

Right in the middle is great, and use flatbar or carpet gripper to finish it off.

RickyBoy, sounds like you know what your doing.

The middle, under the closed door, is always my preference.
But I have had homeowners with a different preference.
