Transition From Carpet to Vinyl on Concrete

We're replacing the basement carpet in our cabin. I'd like to put vinyl under the well pump/pressure tank as well as the bar cooler/tapper area next to it, (there's a drain in the floor in that area). What's the best way to transition between the carpeting and vinyl over concrete. Glue down aluminum edging strips? Thanks.

If you don't like the exposed metal you can use z-bar which rolls the carpet edge over, like turn and tacking without the divots left from tacking.

If you use exposed crimp metal, don't glue it!!! Fasten it down!! Or you will be regretting it later when it pops loose.
