new carpet humps

when installing new carpet, i sometimes get bumps and humps here and there. how would i get it flat(without spending too much money cuz i'm moving soon)?

The carpet needs to be completely flattened. What you have is a carpet that is too large for the room. Go out and rent a knee kicker and stretch the carpet into place. Cut off the excess and secure to the tack strip.

YOU? are installing the "new" carpet?
And your getting bumps?

Youre not installing it correctly. You can stretch it in all day, but if you dont know the method in which to do it, you wont get anywhere.
