How long has the carpet been installed?

Are there missing fibers?

Is it coming off the seam tape?

Are the layers of carpet backing seperating?

The carpet was installed about 3 years ago. Yes, there is now missing fibers (carpet pieces). I do not beilieve it is coming off the tape. What seems to have happened is a string like piece came undone at the seam. Also the seam is opening up. I hope this is helpful.. Thanks

The seam was never seam sealed. Always clip those stray nylon primary backing threads. Never pull them or let a vacuums beater bar get a hold of it.

This is a tuff repair, if the carpet is delaminating. If they knee kicked in the stretching, you may get into good carpet with a power stretchers help.

This is going to be tough to explain with me typing.
