Fixing jute carpet

Hi there,

I tried to clean a dark brown jute carpet using baking soda and water... this was before I knew the dangers. Well, now the brown has faded... is there a way to fix it? To bring the faded spot back to its original dark brown?

I've heard that oversteeped dark tea may work, but I'm not sure how to apply it.

i doubt the tea would be dark enough to produce a dark brown. maybe try actual wood stain in a dark brown.
