Can I "reuse" carpeting?
I am having hardwood floors installed and one room has fairly new carpet, about 4 years old and in great shape. Can I use this carpet in another room that has older, worn carpet? The pad in the other room is very thick and nice so I would just keep that pad and use the newer carpet over it. Can this be done?

Yes, that is actually done all the time. Usually formal living and dining rooms, that are just for show, basically, and have absolutly no wear, I'm asked to install in a bedroom or two at a later date.

Oh, thank you for your replies! The room is really large, more than 30 feet long so I might actually get 2 bedrooms worth! One bedroom already has this carpet so it will really look nice to have them all alike.
