Smile Carpet Stair Treads

We just ordered custom carpet stair treads for our new oak staircase. Our question is, what is the best way of putting them down, tape, tacks, etc, so that they will not move while going up and down. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

Stair rods, if it is a runner.

Red face Stair Treads Carpet

Thanks Carpets done right, but they are individual carpet treads, not a runner. Is it better to staple or tack down to prevent slippage. Also what is the lesser of 2 evils on damaging the wood.
Thanks
