I spilled candlewax on My couch and carpet. What`s the best and easiest way to remove it.

freeze it with ice and chip it off

CARPET & padding purchase

I am considering a major carpet & padding purchase. I am having a time trying to decide if I should go through Home Depot or one of the nationally known carpet mill's outlet store and look for an independent carpet layer. I have gone through Home Depot for Pergo Flooring in my kitchen and was very satisfied with the work, but ended up taking over-order supplies back. What recourse would I have if going through a carpet mill and discovered they over estimated?Read More

Cat needs repair - carpet damage!!!!!!

My cat has torn our carpet on corner of the door frame on the hallway side of the door. Each area is abt 3" x 8". I'd like to repair/replace w/ a 3' long x 8" wide strip across the doorway. I have a piece of carpeting that I can cut the strip from. What do I have to do to make it work?? Pls give detailed instructions... Or should I call a carpenting company to have them repair it.
