How to keep carpet stretched across doorway

I have wall to wall carpet and I'm replacing the hallway with laminate flooring. I need to cut the carpet at the doorways. Since it is stretched how can I keep it tight and not getting loose?

Any solutions would be helpful.

Welcome to the forums. Are there tack strips at the doorways? If not, you'll need to have some installed. A knee kicker might suffice for pulling tight at the doorways.

Mitch is right. If it's just doorways, you can put tack strip under the edge of the transition strips and bump the carpet back up.
