Removing carpet pad adhesive from concrete

Hi,
We had water in our basement. About 1/2in. Enough to soak the carpet.
Removed carpet and pad. Waiting for a contractor. quite a long list i'm on.
It's drying with 2 dehumidifiers and several big fans.

How do I remove the adhesive on the floor that was between the pad and the concrete? I imagine some of the musty smell comes from that pad residue.
Just use a scraper, or is there a specific product? What do professionals use? Do they use some kind of scrubber to thouroughly clean the floor?

It was suggested I remove vinyl flooring from utility room.
Did that. Not much wetness, but the adhesive is REALLY strong. How do I kill that smell? Have to close the door to the room at night, and of course it doesn't get dried out as good as the rest of the rooms. Wish I wouldn't have removed the vinyl.....
Thanks., SteveS

Going to need to scrape it all off.
If there's a smell then now there's mold set in.
What utility room? Is this on the same floor?

Yes, utility room is on the lower level too.
I dont see any mold or smell mildew/mold.
It's a strong adhesive smell. I've used the adhesive and thats what it smells like, only really strong. Hopefully it will deminish as it dries.
It's about 6X12 room. I think I'll leave one dehumidifier in there overnight - see if it makes a diff.

Probably should have put this in the vinyl flooring forum.
