7/8" floor transition
After removing the downstairs wall to wall carpeting as a favor for my inlaws I'm left with a hallway to bathroom transition height difference of 7/8" stepping up from the hardwood to the lino. This is higher than any of the off-the-shelf reducer mouldings available at the home center can accommodate.
Any suggestions on how to handle this transition? Do custom millwork shops make single pieces? Any online products I'm overlooking?

You could always have a custom piece milled, just depends on how deep your pockets are.
Look to mobility stores, they have specialty mini ramps to help with wheel chair access and may have something that suits your needs perfectly.

Get a piece of 1/4" oak, round the edge and put it down first. Then use a 3/4" sloped threshold and modify it to have a rabbet edge with an 1/8" lip to fit over the vinyl. Hold it in 1/4" from the rounded edge of the 1/4" oak.
