Stainmaster 10yr vs 25yr Wear Warranty

Is there really a difference in the yarn between these two carpets, or is it just a warranty gimmick, where they will never honor a warranty anyway if the carpet develops matting, etc.

Carpet seems to have gone up in price since I bought 4 years ago.

I could carpet my bedrooms for $4000 or $6000. OMG

Well, good or bad, after about 15 years carpet is worn out or out of style or all of the above!

Personally, as carpet wears out we're putting in wood!

Matting is never covered under any carpet warranty. Neither is loss of twist. They just measure the length of the yarn. Nylon wears like iron, it just gets ugly. Replacement under any warranty is very rare.
