Carpet mildew

Couple weeks ago I cleaned carpet. Don’t think it dried completely and started smelling a mildew in house so now I’m having lvp replace carpet. Talking to the company they said they clean the floors after removing carpet and if it shows mildew they will use an enzyme treatment for odor and smells. Will take 30 mins to dry then place lvp down. Of course extra charge. Is that all they need to do? Should I get carpet up first now and air floor out before then? Install is a week away.

If you have the ability..... pull the carpet now. This way there are no surprises next week.
Carpet is heavy. You may have to cut into manageable pieces that you can roll up and take out.

Ty pj. I called company, they said after removing carpet and padding usually no prob. I pulled up some carpet where it was easy to but not really in area where I’m smelling the smell. That would be harder for me as I’m kinda old lol, but I tried to look and smell underneath but couldn’t detect anything, but again wasn’t in that area. Physically, I’m not able to pull out carpet. I will wait when company comes to do work and check area after they pull up for smell and color. I don’t know what else to do til then, company getting tired of my constant calls. They keep saying don’t worry.
