Angry

I recently installed carpet in my house. Tacks from the tackless strip are pushing up through the carpet and I can feel them (very sharp) as I walk over them. This is especially noticeable in the doorways entering my kitchen where the carpet ends and Pergo flooring begins. Also around the ceramic tile I installed in the entry way. The ceramic tile ends into the living room where the carpet is flush with the edge. I doubled over the carpet to give a smooth transition from ceramic tile to carpet and the tacks are still coming up through the two layers of carpet.

I do not believe this is normal. Is it? I've never experienced this before in any house I've ever been in. Any suggestions?

Cool deer sharp tacks

Take a hammer and gently tap on the sharp ends sticking up, hit them thru the carpet, gently until ya can not feel them .tap them so the sharp ends go toward the tile or wood parts not toward carpet.
