Rubber backed carpet?

I must be getting old. I want to install rubber backed carpet to a basement room. Then I went to look for it ...? where did it all go?
I used this throughout a previous house I owned and really liked it. Best of all, I could install it myself with just a straight edge, knife and tape measure.
Where has all the rubber backed gone? Was there an issue as I never had any problems myself.

Finding carpet with padding attached

Check at some of the building supply centers that cater to the DIYer.

Enhancer back. I have not fooled with that in 12 years. Besure to do a Calcium Chloride test or the taped plastic trick to test for moisture emissions from the concrete basement floor before you glue anything down! Also a pH test is advised too. Basements being below grade are notorious for high moisture emissions and high pH levels. Even indoor/outdoor adhesives can blow off the floor if moisture and pH levels in the concrete are high. They resist moisture penetrating from the top, and not from the bottom.

No use putting an investment down, if it's going to fail prematurely.
