holding down carpet edge

Hi,
I have a carpet that ends in an interior doorway. The carpet edge is held down to a wood floor by a thin metal strip with nails. The carpet has worked out of the strip and I want to reattach it. I am told that I should use double sided carpet tape under the carpet and nail down a new strip.
Questions: (1)what is this edging strip material called? (2) The nail heads presently holding the strip down don't look like ordinary carpentry nails. Are they some special kind of nail?
Thanks,
Joe

The strip is available at Home Depot in the flooring section......Just ask for "the strip that covers the edge of the carpet at an entrance or doorway" and everyone will be on the same page. You might purchase a strip wider than the current one which will cover more of the carpet edge so it will be less likely to pull out again...

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the reply. What about the nails? Anything special?

Screws or nails will be included with the strip.
