(W = wet, U = underground). NMD is for Dry locations. I am not an expert, but 24" sounds a little deep for direct burial. 24" is only...

Hi:

I just went though the same thing. My daughter's new (well really old) apartment outlets provided only two prong plugs, no ground. I checked; the circuits use BX cable. The ground tested fine...

I would recommend doing the following:

Go with 6/3 cable. It’s rated for the full 60 amps. You indicated the sub-panel will be next the main panel so a few feet of 6/3 will be cheap (<$10).

Go...

I agree. I don't like using the switch box with fuses. But it was the only thing available from the Orange big box store. (Why do they still make things with the old fuses anyway?)

I will look...

That's what I thought, but it's good to double check. Somehow not having the neutral connected confused me. I would not even give it a second thought if it had been a 3 wire circuit including two...

Sounds like you have lost air pressure in the pressure tank. There should be around 40 psi. Try testing it, using a car tire gauge. If it's low, just pump it up using a car tire pump.

Install a new line for the dishwasher. It's needed by code, and now you know why! If you have a basement, it is not too hard to pull the line from the panel.

Really, it best to do it right.
