I did swap an old switch for a new smart one. I'm pretty sure I just connected wire for wire, but I do remember that the white (nuetral) wasn't connected to the original switch...

For the other switch, it is controlling an outlet outside, and hence doesn't have a "load" wire, just a neutral and a hot, and the switches I bought...

I unplugged the sensors from the unit (verified since the LEDs on the sensors turned off) and unfortunately the door didn't go down when I held the wall switch down :(

@PJmax theres 3 runs coming into the box, the 4th cable is a pigtail.

I had to put everything back together as I gotta go...

I thought the nuetrals were all connected and tightened, but I'll double check.

These outlets used to be "back stabbed", but I use the screw now (I removed the pieces that were stuck in the back)....

Yes, I believe both 3 way switches has 3 screws to tie into (excluding ground).

I suppose another way of describing it is when the 3 way switch with the power going into it is switched "downwards"...
