They are one phase but the two wire are opposite flow. When current is entering your house on one wire it is exiting on the other. Then it reverses.

The AC output is only 300 watts. I doubt that would be enough to run a freezer. Even if it was probably won't run for more than 10-15 minutes before draining the battery.
